Product description

Liquidambar Styraciflua or amber tree, multi-stemmed! Beautiful autumn colours in your garden!

Liquidambar styraciflua, also known as the amber tree or liquid amber, is an imposing deciduous tree with a broad pyramidal shape. The tree's name is derived from the gum resin, or amber, extracted from its bark. The dark green hand-shaped leaves have 5 to 7 lobes, are pointed and incised and transform in autumn to a brilliant palette of orange, dark crimson and almost purple. Spiny fruits with horned shape appear on long stems in September. Liquidambar thrives best in a sunny location, neutral to acidic soil and normal humidity. Note that the tree is sensitive to road salt as well as wind and ozone pollution
