Product description

Viburnum opulus was given the beautiful but confusing name Gelderland rose in Dutch. It is a large deciduous shrub with a dense, wide-growing, round habit. From the end of May until the beginning of June it flowers with small white flowers in flat corymbs. The leaves are coarsely toothed, three-lobed, maple-like, dark green in spring and summer and orange-yellow to purplish-red in autumn. From July, red fleshy berries also appear, which persist until deep into the winter. Viburnum prefers a position in full sun or semi shade and a slightly acidic to neutral soil. It is very hardy, requires little pruning and is tolerant to sea wind and air pollution.
