Product description

Thai basil is an annual herb with a subtle anise-like undertone to the classic basil flavour. The plants are characterised by their deep purple stems and dainty pink to lilac flowers. Both fresh and dried, this versatile herb can be a tasty addition to a variety of dishes. It is a light germinator that quickly overshoots if not maintained enough.

Preferably pre-sow in trays or pots, with 4 to 8 seeds per pot. Make sure the soil is well-nourished, as basil requires a lot of warmth, light, nutrients and moisture. Transplant young plants or clusters at a distance of 20x20 cm. Harvesting can be done by cutting the stems about 10 cm above the ground. After regrowth, several harvests can be made.
