Tansy

This native perennial plant is a highly aromatic plant featuring golden flowers with large, stalked flower heads. It was traditionally used as a vermifuge and also serves as an insect repellent. Bunches of tansy flowers can be placed in strategic areas to ward off ants, moths, fleas, and other insects. Some people use the finely chopped leaves (in small amounts) in omelets or minced meat for an aromatic flavor. The plant blooms from July to September and reaches a height of 100 cm.

Cultivation Tips
