Summer thyme - Thymus vulgaris - Organic herb seeds

Thyme 'German Winter' is a multi-year kitchen and whole herb. The leaves and stem buds are used both fresh and dried. After flowering, it is recommended to cut off the plants so that they form young foothills again and better get through the winter. Thyme is characterized by purple-like tubular flowers, each flower has four petals and a chalice. Thyme is frequently used in pasta dishes.

Height 20 cm. Sow in March or April under glass and plant out in May. Possibly sowing in the open ground in June-July. Use a planting distance of 30x15 cm as the norm. Blooms in the second year in the beginning of summer. Harvested, the stem tops are harvested with leaves, also good to dry.
