This zucchini variety is highly productive and features lush, strongly marbled foliage. The fruits are elongated, well-cylindrical in shape, and have a beautiful, shiny dark green color. It is also resistant to powdery mildew, a common fungal disease, making it easier to grow.

Cultivation advice for Zuboda zucchini
To promote rapid fruiting and minimize damage from snails, it is best to sow zucchini in pots at a temperature of 20°C, starting from March or April. Plant the seedlings in the ground after the last frost, around mid-May. Ensure a planting distance of 1 meter, and for trailing varieties, up to 2 meters. Dig small holes filled with compost to give the plants a good start.

Zucchini requires not only plenty of sunlight but also soil rich in organic matter. In case of drought, regular and abundant watering at the base of the plant is important for healthy growth. Zucchini can also be sown directly in the ground in May, but the harvest will be later, and the yield may be smaller.

Harvest advice for zucchini
For longer storage, it is recommended to harvest zucchini when fully ripe. This can be identified when the skin is hard to pierce with a nail, and the stem is firm and matured. Cut the zucchini as close to the stem as possible for better preservation.

Tip for sowing zucchini
When sowing, zucchini seeds need warmth (around 20-22°C) to germinate quickly, usually within 5 days. Be careful not to overwater, as excess moisture can cause seedling rot.
