Composition for a Cottage-Style Border (Partial Shade to Sun)

This combination of perennial plants is ideal for a 3-square-meter border in a spot with partial shade to full sun. The border attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies while adding color and structure.

  1. Alchemilla mollis (Lady's Mantle)

    • Height: 30-40 cm
    • Blooming Period: May to August
    • Characteristics: This hardy groundcover features dark green, fan-shaped leaves and small, bright yellow flowers. It grows well in both sun and shade.
    • Number: 6 plants
    • Planting Tips: Place Lady's Mantle at the front of the border with a distance of 30 cm between plants.
  2. Nepeta 'Walkers Low' (Catmint)

    • Height: 50-60 cm
