Product description

Microferm are Effective Microorganisms [EM], ready-to-use. It is a mixture of active bacteria, moulds and yeasts. The ideal way to garden naturally.

By diluting these micro-organisms in the water, for example, you ensure a balance of micro-organisms in your garden.

Microferm is also used to ferment vegetable and animal remains, has a disease-reducing effect on plants and vegetables and stimulates soil life.

Billions of bacteria live in and around our garden. For a pleasant living environment it is important that the good bacteria are always in the majority.

Application:

Fermentation of vegetable and animal waste.

For ponds: it increases the microbial diversity in the water (2L is good for 12 to 25 m3 of water).

For the garden, 2L is good for 100 m²: in the soil, it promotes the conversion of organic material for more efficient fermentative decomposition

To make fermentation compost (Bokashi): with Microferm the garden waste can be fermented into Bokashi manure (fermented organic material) which contains the most ideal nutrients for your plants and garden.

Scientific research has shown that EM-Actief stimulates the growth of plants. In agriculture and horticulture

EM is already a widely used additive, which reduces the use of artificial fertiliser and harmful crop protection agents. Also in ornamental and vegetable gardens and on home lawns, the use of EM Active leads to more beautiful flowers and healthy plants without the use of artificial fertiliser.

In addition, EM Active can be used as a compost accelerator on the compost heap.


What is EM?
EM is a mixture of naturally occurring Effective Microorganisms and is used to increase the natural resistance of soil, plants, water, people and animals.
What does EM consist of?
EM contains different types of Effective Micro-Organisms. Each of these Effective Micro-Organisms has special tasks. The micro-organisms also promote each other's activities.
These micro-organisms are collected in the wild; they are not modified and manipulated and are cultivated in a natural way. EM contains the following Effective Micro-organisms: Lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, actinomycetes, photosynthesising bacteria and moulds. EM is therefore purely natural.
How does EM work?
The special feature of EM is the combination of aerobic and anaerobic micro-organisms. Aerobic means "life with oxygen" and anaerobic means "life without oxygen". In the scientific world, it has always been assumed that these two groups could not possibly live side by side, as the conditions under which they live are opposites. In fact, both groups naturally occur together in the soil.
Aerobic and anaerobic micro-organisms have in common that they can transform substances into antioxidants. These have a beneficial effect on the health of soil, plants, people and animals.
Micro-organisms work according to the dominance principle and thus restore the microbial balance.
What is the dominance principle?
In the world of micro-organisms, there are several groups. There is a small group of dominant 'effective' microorganisms, a small group of dominant 'harmful' microorganisms and a large group of so-called followers. In nature, the group of followers work together with one of the above-mentioned dominant groups. In practice, this means that they join the most suitable dominant group.
There is a constant power struggle between the effective and the harmful organisms. the "billions of followers" just wait and see which of the two groups gets the upper hand. Then they adapt and follow or imitate the victor.
If the "good guys", the effective micro-organisms get the upper hand, they exert their constructive and disease-reducing influence in all sorts of areas (e.g. air, soil, plants, water, humans, animals,...)
The correct use of EM in households, the environment, agriculture and horticulture can promote the growth of effective micro-organisms everywhere.
How does EM work?
EM is a living substance and does not work in the same way as an antibiotic or chemical. EM increases the population of beneficial micro-organisms.
EM does not kill. It is not an antibiotic, but a mixture of life-stimulating micro-organisms, which are known from various food preparations such as beer, wine, sauerkraut, etc.
EM works gradually. Depending on the application, you can expect an effect from a few hours (e.g. odour nuisance) to sometimes several years (e.g. soil fertility).
