Product description

Chinese chives have a delicate garlic flavour and differ from ordinary chives in their need for warmth and their slower growth. The seeds require a cold period to germinate properly.

The perennial plant reaches a height of approx. 30 cm. Pre-sowing can be done in March, followed by planting out 25x3 cm apart in April or May. This can be done indoors or in a greenhouse. Direct sowing is possible from March to August. After harvesting, the plant will grow back. Although this chive is only moderately hardy, it can survive the winter under mild conditions.
