Cultivation Advice

These varieties thrive in cooler temperatures and shorter days. Sow directly in rows, spaced 30 cm apart, in spring (March-April) or from mid-July to the end of September. Thin the seedlings to 5 cm apart.

Harvest the leaves when they reach 10-20 cm in height, making sure to leave the heart of the plant intact for multiple harvests. Keep the soil moist and continue harvesting until the cold season sets in.

It’s recommended to harvest the leaves while they are still young, typically 6 to 8 weeks after sowing. This mix is also suitable for cultivation under glass after winter and can be grown in pots, window boxes, or other containers.
