Aldine nesting box 34 mm - for garden birds

The Aldine nest box has an entrance opening of 34 mm, making it ideally suited for ringed and house sparrows, nuthatches and pied flycatchers. The sloping roof and black wood grain make a striking combination. The depth of the nesting box is sufficient to allow birds to safely build a nest underneath.

The wood of this nesting box is thermally modified. It has been heated in a low-oxygen environment to over 180 ⁰C. This creates a chemical change in the structure of the wood. This increases its durability. The low-oxygen environment prevents the wood from burning, but gives each nesting box a unique look.
